Prior to opening her career counseling practice, she worked at the Center for Professional Development of the University of Hartford for 30 years where she was associate director of the Center. Besides being associate director, she was also, concurrently, director of the Center’s Career Counseling Department and director of the Center’s Institute for Leadership & Talent Development.
Eleta is a member of the Connecticut Career Counseling & Development Association and is currently the president of the association. She has also served as treasurer and membership chair for the association. In 2006, she was awarded the “Distinguished Professional Award” by the Connecticut Counseling Association.
Eleta received her Ph.D. in Guidance and Counseling with an emphasis on career development from the University of Michigan. She earned a Master of Arts in Teaching at Wesleyan University and a Bachelor of Arts in history from Carleton College. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Connecticut and is a Nationally Certified Counselor.
